The
Grob Twin Astir is a two-place sailplane based on the
single-seat Astir. First flown in 1976, the Twin Astir is
designed for training, high performance and simple aerobatics.
In 1981, a Twin II flown by Tom Knauff won the
world out & return record for a two-seat sailplane at 622 miles
(1001 km). |
